  • book a consultation
  • engage with us on social media
  • purchase products or services
  • enter prize draws or competitions
  • request newsletters or company updates
  • choose to complete any surveys we send you 

Why do we collect personal data?

We collect and process your personal data in order to:

  • provide you with access to our services
  • book you onto classes and PT sessions
  • assess priorities for your training plan
  • monitor your progress
  • plan training sessions taking into account any medical conditions or potential medical conditions that you may have
  • refund any monies due
  • contact your next of kin in the case of emergency
  • improve our website, social media and services
  • if you have specifically consented to it, send marketing emails and updates

Outside of these reasons, we will process your data only if you have given permission for its stated purposes.

Who has access to your data?

Your personal information is never passed on to third parties without your prior consent.

Your personal information is securely stored both on a database provided by a third-party and a Cloud based system (One Drive) . Additionally, data recorded on paper might be stored in a secure, lockable, fire-proof, theft-proof filing cabinet. 

Payment details are also stored by a third-party provider who are dedicated to securely acquiring and processing this type of information. This information is encrypted and is not stored by us on any of our systems or networks.

In the event that a refund is required, payment details are stored on our bank’s online platform, and we do have access to this information.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law. We may also disclose your personal information to a regulatory or law enforcement agency if we deem it necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Fitness Fundamentals team, its customers or any third party. 

Your rights

We take suitable measures to safeguard and secure all data collected.

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will amend our records if you let us know of any changes.

We retain personal data for the period that it is required for processing and where we are obliged to do so. For example in accordance with financial record keeping.

We will not share your personal information with a third party unless we are legally obliged to do, for example if we were involved in legal proceedings.

We will hold records for the duration of our business relationship. Records will be archived after 18 months of inactivity.
